About Me

I'm an M.Sc. student in Materials Engineering (Energy Materials) at RWTH Aachen University, with a background in metallurgical engineering. I have hands-on cleanroom experience in electron-beam lithography, LPCVD growth, and SEM/TEM characterisation, including independent tool operation and process parameter optimisation, plus data-driven analysis in Python and FEM modelling in COMSOL and ANSYS. I'm Six Sigma trained in structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis (8D), and continuous improvement under IATF 16949, and I'm looking to apply that background to high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.

Experience

Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research — Student Research Assistant, Stuttgart (Feb–Jun 2026). Fabricated plasmonic nanoparticles through a full lithography workflow (PMMA coating, EBL patterning, lift-off), characterised nanostructures by SEM and EELS/STEM, performed spectroscopic ellipsometry for film thickness and optical constants, and analysed the resulting STEM data in Python with reproducible workflows.

Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH — Student Research Assistant, Jülich (Apr 2025–Jan 2026). Derived electrical double layer theory (Gouy–Chapman and Bikerman models) from statistical field theory and implemented numerical ODE solutions in Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas).

Baykar Technology — Intern, Technical Project Department, Istanbul (Oct–Dec 2022). Designed and revised UAV components in CATIA.

Electrical Unifil Automotive (EFI) — Intern, Supplier Quality Department, Turkey (Mar–Jun 2022). Prepared technical error reports, drove 8D root-cause analyses to closure, and supported IATF 16949 quality processes.

Education

RWTH Aachen University — M.Sc. Materials Engineering (Energy Materials), Aachen (Apr 2024–present). Thesis on the tribology of NiCr–Cr₃C₂ HVOF/laser-cladding hybrid coatings on copper for continuous casting.

Yıldız Technical University — B.Sc. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Istanbul (Sep 2018–Feb 2023). Thesis on heteroepitaxial growth of monoclinic Ga₂O₃ on 4H-SiC in an LPCVD reactor.
